Hi, I'm Herman!
I'm a food blogger, recipe developer, and food enthusiast who is passionate about sharing my love for cooking and food with the world. I was born and raised in San Francisco but now call sunny Los Angeles home. My love for cooking started when I was just 12 years old, making fried rice as my very first dish. Since then, food has always been my way of connecting with people and expressing my creativity.
How I Started Cooking
I learned all of my cooking skills from my mom, grandma, and the Food Network! My mom and grandma taught me that food isn’t just about flavor — it’s about connection, family, and love. The Food Network opened my eyes up to different recipes, cuisines, and cooking techniques I never knew. I actually watched The Food Network every day after school because I wanted to learn as much as I can about food and cooking.
What I Do Outside of the Kitchen
When I’m not developing recipes or cooking, you’ll probably find me exploring Los Angeles — checking out new restaurants, coffee shops, and bakeries. I’m a total foodie and I love discovering different flavors that spark new ideas for my next recipe and because I just love to eat.
What You Will Find On My Blog
On my blog, you’ll find a mix of Asian-inspired recipes along with a variety of other cuisines I love experimenting with. My goal is make recipes that are easy, approachable, and most importantly, delicious. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned home cook, I want you to feel confident and inspired in your own kitchen!
I started this blog because I started to share photos of the food I cooked on my social media but my friends and family kept asking for my recipes so I wanted a place to share them. Also, I learned a lot of recipes from my family growing up so I want to preserve the dishes in my family’s culture.
Food is my love language, and through this space, I hope to share that love with you as well!
